Some thoughts about what church is and isn’t

I oftentimes have people ask me about going to church and if I have a pastor and I think they become bewildered at my not giving them a boxed in answer that they are accustomed to. A typical answer is to give the name of a church and pastor, along with the denomination. When they don’t get the traditional response it’s as if they don’t know what to say or how to respond. So here is a recap of some of my articles about how we gather with the Body of Christ.

Most historical churches began in homes and even the apostle Paul wrote about the many households that gathered and hosted people in their homes on a regular basis. A local gathering is no less a church than a mega church with a million dollar building is.  So enjoy my posts and how we came to establish what church is for our family and have fun with your own gathering.
