About

Soul Liberty Faith is a place where I share my personal journey, my walkabout with Agape, exploring all that grace is. To live with soul liberty is to have freedom to follow Agape, as Agape guides us. This journey might look different than your own and yours might look different than mine. My walkabout is a journey in the wilderness of grace being led by faith. There are times when I step out where there is nothing visible to stand on and that’s why faith is so important to me. I believe in the sovereignty of God to do as He wills in my life on this journey and while that which many might call evil, falls upon me, or crosses my path, I rest in His unchanging grace that there is a purpose for those times. May we uplift one another to walk by faith in this glorious grace, for that is where we are the safest.

Individuality: Please refrain from dictating to me, our guest authors, or others in the comments section how you think our experiences are invalid according to your interpretations of the Bible. Each journey is uniquely led by His Spirit and no two experiences are identical. God spoke through a donkey, fishermen, women, and children with messages of love, correction, and full of grace. His messengers wrestled with Jacob, Christ gave living water to the Samaritan woman, fed 5,000 with a small lad’s lunch, and sent a messenger to smite Peter on the thigh to wake him.

Comments: As I read about my Lord, I see Him reaching out to the souls the religious crowds rejected, while rebuking those which sought to condemn them. If you have been rejected by the religious crowds, you are welcome here. Grace is an all encompassing Love that pours out upon us all. There are indeed some that reject full radical reckless grace and embrace their legalistic religious ways. This blog might make them feel very uncomfortable, but they are welcome as everyone else is. I pray they can learn to comment with respect and as I moderate comments, I will allow disagreements about matters so long as they are respectful. If at any time I sense that comments are becoming abusive, I will delete such comments before they can ever be moderated through for public view. I reserve the right and freedom to mark them as spam or simply send them to the trash.

Pull up a chair: I invite you make yourself at home here and know that you are loved by your Creator.

Isaiah 53:6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned—every one—to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all.

Matthew 18:12 What do you think? If a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them has gone astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine on the mountains and go in search of the one that went astray? 13 And if he finds it, truly, I say to you, he rejoices over it more than over the ninety-nine that never went astray. 14 So it is not the will of my Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish.

Luke 2:10 And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people.

John 1:29 The next day he saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!

1 Corinthians 15:22 For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive.

Romans 5:18 Therefore, as one trespass led to condemnation for all men, so one act of righteousness leads to justification and life for all men.

All scripture quotations are from the ESV, unless otherwise noted.

Wake up to the Christ that is in you!

Colossians 1:27 To them God chose to make known how great among the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

I don’t believe that God only speaks through the bible…as much as I love to study the bible, I see God in more than just an English translation. Even King David spoke of seeing God in nature.

The apostle Paul also quoted pagan poetry to speak truth to the men of Athens in the book of Acts.

I don’t think God is limited to English translations and Westernized Christianity to speak the truth of grace to his creation. I follow Christ, but in unconventional, paradoxical ways.

I have strong opinions about the manipulation among Christianity today and a lot of Christianity doesn’t look anything like Christ. But I’m not one to give up hope or ditch my Lord because of the masses who abuse his name and teachings.

Whatever way a person decides to believe about the bible, it’s translations, or interpretations, I ask you this… how do your beliefs shape you in grace? How has your theology fashioned you into a vessel of mercy? If your beliefs and doctrines create a elitist army, tear down others, or bully people into believing ‘just like you’, then you may not like my blog. I stand boldly and firmly against spiritual abuse and won’t tolerate psychological religious bullies around here.

But if are seeking to learn more about this spiritual journey so many of us are taking, then pull up a chair. I’d love to hear about your journey and spiritual life. I’m sure I can learn a lot from you.
